Another year, another set of GB Studio treasures to unearth from various ends of itch.io. As GB Studio itself continues to update and provide more resources to developers, these homebrew games are becoming more varied and sophisticated. 

Life in the Analog Age: Rainy Day

Life in the Analog Age: Rainy Day is a slice-of-life-ish adventure game created by Gabe Swarr. Swarr is an Executive Producer, Animation Director, and storyboard artist who has worked on some pretty high profile shows, such as Animaniacs, Dexter’s Laboratory, and Penguins of Madagascar. Swarr has also developed another homebrew game, an action-puzzle game called Bub-O Escape. Rainy Day is a spin-off/tie-in to Swarr’s semi-autobiographical webcomic of the same name. As the title implies, the game takes place in 1984 on a rainy day, and the player controls a young boy trying to “survive” his time indoors before his bedtime.
